On every second Saturday of the month I organize photography walks in various parts of the city of Barcelona. Every time there is a different theme and the workshops are joined by 15-20 photographers with a mixed level of experience. We start with me explaining the process of photography and I give advise on light, perspective and dimensions. So the workshop that starts with the theoretical aspects and then do an assignment. Besides working on your photographical skills it is also a place to meet new people and have fun.
The next photography walk is planned on Saturday July 21st, please join us.

In this month’s event with we got into the area of outdoor (s)-portraits where we hit the streets near Parc de Fòrum to take picture of model practicing sports in various light conditions. Great vibes and once again great pictures 🙂
This month’s event with the title “This is not Barcelona” was all about portrait photography, where we practiced in very diverse locations that are all really cool, futuristic, urban and very unlike the typical Barcelona spots, like the Sagrada Família.
On Saturday, April 21st the photography walk was all about Outdoor Portrait Photography and we changed the scene from an urban/graffiti environment to a more natural/green environment, all located near Mont Juïc. Here I explained various concepts of outdoor portrait photography, natural light, lines, gear, expression, color contrast and light reflections.
The workshop was about street and documentary photography. We captured “ordinary life” in L´Hospitalet de Llobregat, coincidentally 🙂 on the same day as the Japan Weekend in the Fira of Hospitalet.
This event took place in Parc de les Tres Xemeneis near Parallel. This is a relatively unknown area that has all ingredients for Urban shooting, there is graffiti, skaters and a lot more. Great event, but February can still be cold in Barcelona.
Architecture is the key word for this photography workshop. In the Forum are we looked for symmetry, lines, rules of thirds, and of course it was allowed to have persons in the photo without it becoming a portrait. 🙂 Really great experience.
On this winter day we chased the few remaining rays of sunlight to make portraits in the Barceloneta area with a pretty early sunset.
